Start with your export.

HTML / ZIPSafari

Export your Safari bookmarks as an HTML file, or use a Safari export ZIP that includes bookmarks. Choose that file in Rainbow Index; you do not need to unpack the ZIP.

HTMLChrome

Export your bookmarks from Chrome as an HTML file. Rainbow Index also reads bookmark HTML from Firefox, Edge, and other browsers.

HTML / CSVRaindrop.io

Export your Raindrop.io collection as HTML or CSV, then select the exported file. Rainbow Index keeps the folders and tags included in the file.

HTML / CSV / ZIPPocket

Already have a Pocket export? Select its HTML, CSV, or ZIP file. This imports the saved links in your existing export; it does not connect to Pocket or recover an export you no longer have.

Three steps to move in.

Keep your export file.

Save a bookmark export from your browser or previous app somewhere you can find it, such as Files or your Mac. Keep the original as a backup.

Open Import in Rainbow Index.

In Rainbow Index, open Settings > Import and select your file. On Mac, you can also choose File > Import. The app reads the format for you.

Check your new library.

Review the import result, then browse your collections and tags. Folders and tags come across when the export contains them. Import does not delete your original file.
