What happens at 50 items?
Your items stay. You can still read, search, and organize your library. To save more than 50 items, get Rainbow Index Pro. Items in Recently Deleted do not count toward the limit.
Is Pro a subscription?
No. Pro is a one-time purchase that removes the item limit on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Family Sharing is included.
Where is my library?
On your devices and in your own iCloud. There is no Rainbow Index account and no Rainbow Index server storing your library. Use the same Apple Account on each device to sync.
Does it work offline?
You can browse, search, and organize the items on your device without a connection. Download offline copies before you need them. Changes sync through iCloud when you are online again.
Can I take my library with me?
Yes. Export your library as HTML, CSV, JSON, or Markdown, with your files and offline copies. Rainbow Index also keeps a daily backup in your iCloud Drive. You can export without Pro.
Does the AI send my library anywhere?
No. Summaries, suggestions, and answers run on your device with Apple Intelligence. They require a supported device and Apple Intelligence availability in your language and region. The rest of your library works without them.
